What is the best way to travel with a shotgun?
If you’re a non-resident traveling to Canada, you will need to fill out this form to legally transport your gun AND to be able to purchase ammunition in Saskatchewan.
What should I pack?
- Proper licensing to harvest waterfowl (See Licensing for details)
- Suitable clothing for warmer & cooler temperatures in the field as the weather in the prairies can change in the blink of an eye
- Waterproof outer layers & boots as rain/snow may occur
- Knifes, bags and cooler for birds (birds are cleaned by the group)
- Wool & cotton socks
- Blind bag
- Headlamp
What are the limits on birds?
Daily limits per hunter:
- 20 Snows
- 8 Ducks
- 8 Darks
- 5 Sandhill cranes
